Though his 28 year old trader wife insisted that she still loved her husband. He said, “It was becoming unbearable, I have endured for three months,” adding that his wife believes in following certain routine to stay healthy which he does not believe in.
- ADELANI MAKINDE, a 32 year old businessman filed for divorce just hours after his expensive wedding when he discovered that his bride, KEMI had been wearing a butt pad to augment the size of her rear. He told an Ikeja high court that his wife’s rear is as flat as an ironing board. “I discovered that on our wedding night. I prefer a woman whose rear is big.”

- IBIKUNLE ADEOLU, a 42 year old businessman, urged an Agege Customary Court, Lagos to dissolve his four year old marriage because his wife, ROLAKE burns food too much. “She will stay glued to the television and forget to check the food on fire. How will I be wasting my hard earned money like that? I have pleaded and done everything so she could change but to no avail. It is better for the court to dissolve our marriage.”
- 55-year-old EMMANUEL ASALA told an Ikare Akoko Customary Court in Ondo to dissolve his marriage to BUSAYO because she did not bring kitchen utensils from her father’s house. “How will a woman get married without a grinding stone, tablespoons, mortar, pestle, deep freezer and even serving plates? She did not bring any of these to my house. I don’t think I can continue with the marriage.” He prayed the court to order Busayo to return all the things he listed because he bought them with his money.
- BASHIRAT ALIU divorced her husband because he salivates each time he talks. She confessed to an Ikare Akoko Customary Court, Ondo state that she married him that way but did not know his situation was that terrible. Despite her husband’s pleas, BASHIRAT packed out of the house.

- GIDEON and AMINAT ADEFIOYE’s 27-year-old marriage was dissolved by an Ile-Ife Customary Court in Osun State because Gideon wanted a baby girl. “I really want a girl and I told her so after she had the first boy. - AMINU AZEEZ, a 45 year old trader became single after an Igando Customary Court (Lagos) granted his request to divorce his wife, AMINAT because she dresses like a masquerade in the name of being fashion conscious. “You need to see my wife every day.
